CWR provides executive coaching in the health field

April 16, 2008

CWR has been chosen to provide executive coaching for Dan McClure, the founder and CEO of Generations Community Wellness.  Generations Community Wellness provides health and fitness training to low-income children, adults, and seniors – a demographic especially susceptible to the current epidemic of obesity.  With the increasing recognition of this issue and the nonprofit’s innovative model to address it, Generations Community Wellness has grown rapidly in size and scope in just a few years.

The organization is Dan’s first nonprofit and he is a prime example of the emerging generation of nonprofit leaders that are filled with fresh vision and talent.  Our friends at CompassPoint Nonprofit Services have documented how this generation has tremendous gifts, but also important requirements in the area of professional development.  In their recent report, coaching and mentoring were especially emphasized as necessary for this class of leaders.

Consulting Within Reach will fill Dan’s needs in this area via our expert Pete Snell.   Pete is a veteran business leader in Silicon Valley with experience in translating best corporate leadership practices into the nonprofit world.   Pete is looking forward to advising Dan, not just to address short term issues of organizational growth, but also and perhaps more importantly, to foster Dan’s long term growth as a leader.

Making long term investments in the emerging generation of nonprofit leaders is an important part of our corporate mission.  Let us know if you are interested in benefiting from our services.

Help One Child

We're a relatively small outfit. But Consulting Within Reach always treated us like we mattered a great deal. They were extremely attentive and patient. And they delivered expert results that were surprisingly affordable. With their report, we're armed to approach foundations in a whole new way.
