Our one stop shop and the growing nonprofit

August 5, 2009

When a nonprofit grows its programming, it stretches every other part of the organization.  Addressing the need for greater capacity thus requires multiple areas of expertise all working together.

Juma Ventures is the latest organization that has turned to our “one stop shop” approach to serving growing nonprofits.

Juma Ventures is one of the premier agencies preparing low income youth for college.  It enjoys a national reputation for pioneering an approach that integrates financial empowerment with educational support.  Demand for the San Francisco based organization has grown to other cities and Juma Ventures is pursuing a national footprint.

Chief Executive Officer Marc Spencer sensed a need for expanded capacity in three areas:

  • Messaging and branding
  • Individual donor cultivation
  • Board development

To guide his strategic planning, he wanted outside expert evaluation of these areas and accompanying recommendations for next steps.

In the standard world of nonprofit consulting, Marc normally would be forced to locate three different experts, manage three different projects, and synthesize three different findings.  By turning to the Consulting Within Reach team, he will instead receive insight that integrates all three areas into one report.  This is a crucial advantage because in the nonprofit world, each area invariably affects the other.

Whether you are expanding across the country or just across a  town, we would be motivated to provide you with a similar type of “one stop shop” service.  Contact us for a free consultation.

Help One Child

We're a relatively small outfit. But Consulting Within Reach always treated us like we mattered a great deal. They were extremely attentive and patient. And they delivered expert results that were surprisingly affordable. With their report, we're armed to approach foundations in a whole new way.
