Maurice Lim Miller, founder of the Family Independence Initiative, was recently announced as a 2013 MacArthur award recipient for his innovation in anti-poverty work.  Known as the "genius grant," the award provides $500,000 to further Maurice and his organization's work.

Consulting Within Reach is honored to have served Maurice and FII in some key capacity building work in recent years.  CWR provided strategic planning, management consulting, and fundraising coaching.  In addition, our firm built FII's new organizational website, as well as UpTogether, an online tool that connects families advancing out of poverty with each other and other resources. 

We congratulate Maurice on this great honor and look forward to seeing his approach grow in influence.
