Stanford policy center engages CWR for strategic planning
The Stanford India Health Policy Initiative (SIHPI) has engaged Consulting Within Reach to develop its new strategic plan. SIHPI seeks to improve the health care policies in India with the resources of academic research.
CWR will be working closely with SIHPI founder Grant Miller, who is the Director of the Stanford Center for International Development and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Professor Miller is a leading expert in combining the tools of economic research and medical research in the service of global health.
This project will draw on CWR's strength in grasping the different worlds that shape our clients' strategy. For this project, we will analyze both the dynamics of high level academic research and the complexities of policy making in local Indian government centers - and seek to construct the most effective strategy to bridge these two worlds.
We have long advocated and worked for closer linkages between the world of academic research and social policy. CWR founder Curtis Chang himself teaches at the School of International Service at American University in order to build such ties. We are proud to partner with Stanford in this important work of integration.
