CWR's growing impact in Los Angeles
We call Los Angeles our second home. In our last fiscal year, almost 40% of our revenue came from our practice in the region.
We originated in the San Francisco Bay Area back in 2007 with a unique "one stop" set of consulting services that integrated strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, database, and web. We brought corporate best practices within reach of the nonprofit world at rates roughly 50% below market rate. Our work won the recognition of the field, including winning a White House award for social innovation.
The nonprofit world in Los Angeles welcomed us several years later. Early on, the California Community Foundation engaged us on multiple capacity building initiatives that served over a dozen of their grantees. We published our research on how foundations in the region were forging a quiet but remarkable path of innovation. And we presented at the annual conference of the Center for Nonprofit Management in Los Angeles.
